Academics

~We all came to East Carolina for one main reason, and that is to earn a degree. Alpha Xi Delta understands that, and that is why we offer an academic assistance program for all of our members so they won't feel overwhelmed or behind in their academics.

Each major has its own group in our sorority, led by an upperclassman in that department or major. They are there to help other members succeed in their classes by offering assistance in any way requested.

Aside from our "major groups", we have an outstanding alumna, Mrs. Nickie Dixon, who volunteers as our Academic Advisor, willing to assist any members of our chapter with any academic concerns they may have. In addition to our Academic Advisor, we also have a member of our chapter who stands as our Academic Chair. This year, that is Oakleigh Hogg. She sets up library study rooms for our members and even has a rewards program for members who earn exceptional grades on their assignments!
